What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting grew out of EMDR and is a gentle, body-based approach that can help people process trauma and difficult experiences without needing to revisit or retell the details of what happened. It allows the brain and body to naturally work through experiences that may have left us feeling stuck emotionally, physically, or in our relationships, creating space for deeper healing and change.

Brainspotting begins by finding a point in your field of vision that connects with what you’re feeling inside. By gently focusing on this spot and noticing what comes up in your body, you give your brain and nervous system space to work through experiences, emotions, and feelings that may have been difficult to move past. You don’t need to explain everything or find the right words. We simply make space for your mind and body to do what they need to do, at your own pace.
